Aotea Group is a prominent conglomerate of 26 businesses, operating across 29 distinct locations throughout New Zealand. With over 1,250 industry specialists, the group is recognised for its nationwide expertise in Electrical, Security, Communications, Audio Visual, Fire Alarms, Air Conditioning, and Facility Services. The expansive and diverse nature of Aotea Group’s services necessitated a unified system to effectively manage operations across its numerous entities.

The Challenge

Due to the wide range of services offered by Aotea Group and the distributed nature of its business entities, managing operations became increasingly complex. The group required a streamlined work management system that could support various service types while ensuring clear and efficient communication between its different business units. In addition, Aotea needed enhanced data visibility and improved processes for managing jobs, tasks, and financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable. The existing systems could not efficiently handle these demands, leading to operational inefficiencies and communication barriers between the group’s many business entities.

The Solution

Adaptiv worked closely with Aotea Group to implement a solution utilising Azure Integration Services and APIs. The integration focused on optimising work management and improving operational efficiency across the organisation’s numerous businesses. Adaptiv streamlined job management and task assignment processes to ensure smoother operations, while also enhancing the tracking and reporting of inventory and stock movements.

Adaptiv optimised Aotea’s accounts receivable and payable systems, consolidating key financial data. This enabled better management of customer, supplier, and employee timesheet information across all business units. The integration of real-time data and consolidated systems enabled enhanced decision-making and increased operational visibility.
