Sustainability

Adaptiv is the trusted data, integration, and AI partner for leading enterprises across New Zealand and Australia. We’re the silent force behind some of the region’s most significant digital transformations, and we’re equally proud of how we do it. Our mission is simple: be the best. That means state-of-the-art delivery, genuine thought leadership, and a team that’s inspired and engaged. It also means taking sustainability seriously, not as a box to tick, but as a natural extension of the professionalism, integrity and excellence we bring to everything we do.

Sustainability shapes how we work every single day and we’re pleased to share our results for FY24-25. Our total emissions were 70.49 tCO₂e, equivalent to just 0.70 tonnes per employee. For context, average office-based emissions for Australian businesses run at around 1.6 tCO₂e per employee, and for New Zealand SMEs the figure is estimated at approximately 3.7 tCO₂e per employee. We believe that context matters, and we are pleased with where we stand.

These numbers reflect a lot of practical, people-first decisions embedded across how we operate. Our flexible work-from-home policy cuts commuting emissions while genuinely supporting our team’s work-life balance. When travel is necessary, we offset those emissions through carbon credits, keeping our travel footprint effectively carbon-neutral. Day-to-day, the small things add up too, from recycling stations throughout our offices to a shared habit of switching off lights and screens when they’re not needed. We’ve also leaned into digital-first working wherever we can. Virtual meetings, paperless document management and a strong digital infrastructure help us reduce waste without ever compromising the quality our clients expect from us.

Looking ahead, we’re continuing to raise the bar, transitioning to energy-efficient hardware as our technology evolves, and being deliberate about the suppliers we work with, choosing partners who share our values. Doing right by our clients and doing right by the planet aren’t competing priorities for us. They’re part of the same commitment: to be strategic, excellent, and genuinely good at what we do.
